What You'll Need

Before starting the installation, prepare the following:

• TP-Link Omada EAP620 HD
• Router with Internet Connection
• PoE Switch or PoE Injector
• CAT5e or CAT6 Ethernet Cable
• Laptop or Desktop Computer

Step 1: Install the Access Point

Mount the EAP620 HD on the ceiling or wall for the best wireless coverage.

Connect the Ethernet cable from your PoE Switch to the LAN/PoE port of the access point.

Once powered on, wait about 1–2 minutes until the LED indicator becomes stable.

Step 2: Connect to the Network

Connect your computer to the same network where the EAP620 HD is installed.

Open your preferred web browser.

Step 3: Access the Web Management Page

Enter the following address in your browser:

https://tplinkeap.net

If the page doesn't load, try:

https://192.168.0.254

Log in using the administrator account. During the first setup, you'll be asked to create a new administrator username and password.

Step 4: Configure Your Wi-Fi

Navigate to Wireless Settings.

Enter the following:

• Wi-Fi Name (SSID) – Your preferred network name
• Wi-Fi Password – Use a strong password
• Security Mode – WPA2/WPA3 Personal

Click Save to apply the changes.

Step 5: Test the Connection

Connect your smartphone or laptop to the new Wi-Fi network.

Check that:

• Internet connection is working
• Wi-Fi signal is stable
• Browsing speed is smooth

If everything is working properly, your setup is complete.

Recommended Settings

• Keep the firmware updated.
• Use CAT6 Ethernet cables.
• Install the access point in an open area, away from thick walls or metal objects.

Common Troubleshooting

Unable to Access the Setup Page

• Check that all Ethernet cables are securely connected.
• Ensure your computer is connected to the same network.
• Restart the access point and try again.
  

• Verify that your router has an active internet connection.
• Check the cable between the router and PoE switch.
• Restart the router if necessary.

Weak Wi-Fi Signal

• Relocate the access point to a more central location.
• Avoid placing it near metal cabinets or electrical equipment.
• Connect compatible devices to the 5 GHz network for better performance.
